Sara Barron is an instructor at Washington State University College of Nursing Tri-Cities. She has held a variety of nursing positions in several hospitals, including staff nurse, patient educator, community educator, nurse educator, nurse manager, quality assurance coordinator, infection prevention nurse, and assistant director of nursing. Currently working part time for WSU, Sara is known as the health care provider who first noticed the Washington State Anencephaly birth defect cluster. She serves on the state Anencephaly Advisory Committee and is known author and speaker on the topic.
